Unbelievable.....IF there was ever the loss of a musician that could halt every musician on the planet at least for a moment...it would be the loss of Michael Jackson...I'm sure everyone stopped dead in their tracks today...mann he was the first musician i ever loved..

Wii Spray

Ok seriously....Technology is getting out of hand now. I'm starting to wonder WHAT NEXT will they come up with??! it amazes me that someone, actually conceptualizes these ideas, and then some bright light actually brings it to life. In this episode of Yesha's astonishment of the rapid growth of technology we see a new wii game...Wii Spray.. which allows the gamer to stencil or 'bomb' the screen i guess with technology based graffiti.

Shepard Fairey is the artist who created the iconic Obama 'Hope' print, and the andre the giant 'obey' stencil image. I personally love his work, he's a dope artist and being able to watch his creative process is inspiring.

I Gotta Find Peace of Mind...

My coworker thought it would be a good idea to vandalise my morning coffee.. it made me smile, even though i could smell permanent marker every time i took a sip, lol.

anyways, that was my peace for today...this morning, before all the madness of work started, and continued right on until the end of my shift. sigh..sometimes, i think that all we want is jus a lil bit of peace, unfortunately my mind hasn't been able to reach that tranquil level lately, maybe its cuz my mind has been a bit cloudy like this recent Bermuda weather, or maybe its cuz i haven't been in peaceful surroundings..well watever the case, i now find myself searching for that peace.

I Love a film about the heartbreak in life, because that's our reality in these trying days, but i also love these types of films because in the midst of that heartbreak, there's always courage, and hope, and a will to fight...That's what appears to be in this movie that was premiered at Sundance this year (i have to go to sundance one of these days) Its supposed to be released November 2009, i for one, am already in line buying my ticket for this movie.

Anyways, he inspired me tonight. I feel like making a beat, I feel like writing, I feel like pulling out my old sketch book! Kids jus seem to have that extra sumthing, that keeps them happy and always ready to do sumthing, so I took that from him tonight, as he spun around my yard, sadly my camera wasnt on anti-blur mode..wat-evs it still looks cool.

I'm working on this beat right now, where i sampled lauryn hill, I wanna finish it, i can't wait till my recording studio is finished and i can jus be in there 24/7. Sighh good times, to come..

but for now... i gotta go make sum art :)

Artist...Rafael Casal

Rafael Casal is a poet, a wordsmith, a rapper, a lyricist and whatever other forms u can think to describe him. Point blank, he's an artist. I first got wind of him watching Def Poetry and he delivered words that just blew me away and from then on I have been a die hard fan. His way with words is unbelievable, as he so meticulously crafts vivid imagery in a way that he does so easily that it seems the feat must be effortless to him. One of my favorite pieces that he wrote is "Barbie & Ken 101" which is just ILL. I just picked up his LP 'As Good As Your Word' which is also ILL. He's definitely an artist that I love to keep up with and eagerly anticipate much more new things from.
